Glossary of Higher Consciousness

Higher Self:  It has been described as the combination of two higher consciousness with in us, one of our higher consciousness is called the I AM presence an the other higher consciousness is called the Christ consciousness, these two higher levels of consciousness are combined to make a consciousness we call our Higher Selves.

High Self: Jesus referred to His Higher Self as the Father within.  High Self is the master teacher within, and is made up from one to an infinite number of beings.  A soul has to be at Light status or higher in order to serve as another’s High Self.

Ascendant Masters:  In the Ascended Master Teachings, Ascended Masters are believed to be spiritually enlightened beings who in past incarnations were ordinary humans, but who have undergone a series of spiritual transformations originally called initiations and have since ascended. These beings are of Light status or higher.  Masters serve souls both in and out of the physical body as teachers, counselors, and guides.

Seven Sacred Flames:  The Seven Sacred Flames are bands of energy and consciousness (seen as different colours), governed by Ascendant Masters and Archangels.

Angels:  Spiritual beings without physical bodies who we can call on for help.  Angels are spiritual beings that can be from many levels of consciousness and have many functions.

Guardian Angels:  A being that is assigned to guard and protect an incarnated soul.

Spirit Guides:  In Western Spiritualism, “Spirit guide” are entities that remain as disincarnate spirits in order to act as a guide or protector to a living incarnated human being.

Forces of Light:  A group of Light Beings at Universal God Consciousness level or higher who may be called on by the person’s High Self for specific purposes such as healing, instructions, and protection.

Totem Animals:  A totem is a spirit being, sacred object, or symbol of a tribe, clan, family or individual. Native American tradition provides that each person is connected with nine different animals that will accompany him or her through life, acting as guides.
